Love/Hate

Here's a new project. Since I'm so obviously such a hater, I thought I'd try a small tincture of loving kindness to mitigate my unstinting static violence. So, in that direction, I thought I would start saying one nice thing about someone who reads this blog (there are but few of you) and, because I'm still a hater, one bad thing. I started the idea without the blog in mind and posted a nice testimonial on Iris' friendster, but I think the blog idea is better, because I can go back and gloat over how nice I am whenever I want, and it's all in one spot. So, today, since I'm talking to you, I'll start with Peru143, INP, Wastoids.

Nice thing.

After having lived with Peru for a year I've grown to love him even more than I did before. I don't tend to say that I love people unless I'm having sex with them or they are immediate family members, but Peru is one of the best friends I've ever had and I'm glad that the world of internet graffiti mysteriously brought us together. If the only thing that came of me writing graffiti and moving to Montreal was that I became friends and then friends-forever with Peru, well then, that's just a little bit of alright. The thing I like about Peru the most (at the moment anyway) is the fact that even when he is at his most utterly negative you can still see that the negativity and hate is only one micron thick and beneath him is a fucking bodhisattva-like cookie monster who wishes everyone and the world nothing but the best. I like that about him because I think I'm pretty much exactly the opposite and would like to be more like him than I'd care to let him know.

Bad Thing.

I don't like when Peru tries to copy a new graffiti style and does it perfectly the first time, never does it again, never paints it, and forgets that he can perfect something the first time. I fucking hate that and it makes me sick. That and all the semi-Buddhism. But that's just because I'm a Westerner through and through and can't stomach the East in jogging pants :D
